Yelverton is located on Hwy 7A west close to the west boundary of Manvers. High on the hill is located the cemetery and a church no longer in use.
Early settlers in the mid 1800’s family names include McGill, Henders, Staples, Fowler, Maguire, Johnston, Newry, Bahan, Bassett, Fowler and Porter. These early settlers had occupations of postmaster, blacksmith, tailor, innkeeper, cooper, teacher, sawyer and tavern.
