Manvers Veterans

The Manvers Township Historical Society started a project in 2021 to commemorate and honour Veterans who called Manvers home. A Veterans Banner program was launched in November for Remembrance Day. It is hoped that each year, more families will sponsor banners to be displayed in Bethany, Pontypool and Janetville. In the inaugural year, two banners were sponsored and displayed at the Old Bethany Post Office. If you would like more information on this program, please email manvershistory@gmail.com

2022 marked the 1st year that the Veteran Banners were hung in Bethany, Janetville and Pontypool. The Manvers Township Historical Society would like to sincerely thank the contribution of Big Foot Tree Care from Pontypool, who installed the Banners to commemorate area Veterans. Travys T. Richards, owner of Big Foot Tree Care and Eric Brodie a community member, volunteered their services to hang the banners for the Society and remove them. Thank you for supporting the Society with this project to honour Township Veterans. The banners looked great in the three communities and there have been many positive comments supporting this project.
