Donations

Donations come in many forms – monetary, volunteering and artifacts.  Like all non-profit organizations, all voluntary efforts need to be supplemented with funds to further the activities of the Society. We are a registered charity and will issue a Charitable Receipt for monetary donations over $10.00

Monetary donations support the on-going programs and projects approved by the membership. Donations can be made in the following manner:

Cheques made payable to the Manvers Township Historical Society and mailed to

Manvers Township Historical Society, 1480 Hwy 7A, Box 173, Bethany, ON L0A 1A0

            E-transfer manvershistory@gmail.com

All monetary donations, large or small, are welcome.

Volunteering – the Society holds exciting events throughout the year that need many volunteers to run them successfully. There may also be future opportunities to assist with dealing with the many artefacts that have been donated. Stay tuned for details.

If you are interested in volunteering or receiving more information, you can contact  manvershistory@gmail.com

ArtifactsThe Society is always looking for artifacts from Manvers. If you have artifacts or memorabilia items you wish to donate, here is how to do it.

Historical artifacts, photographs, books, etc. are accepted with the understanding that their ownership is transferred to the Society. It would be appreciated if you know the history of the item to have it written out to accompany the artifact.

The Society has the right to determine the retention and disposition of all such gifts. If desired, donated items may be appraised and a tax receipt issued in accordance with applicable laws.

The items we are most interested, include:

Photographs – print, negatives, slides and movies with the history of Manvers

Documents – letters, wills, deeds, family histories. If you have published family histories or research material in written form that you are willing to share, please contact the Society by email manvershistory@gmail.com

Other – historical maps, scrapbooks, catalogues, calendars, collectible memorabilia, memorial cards, ticket stubs, bill of sale, and any other ephemera
