Drum
Drum was listed as a fair sized village in the 1870’s and located at Drum Corners, south west of Pontypool close to the township boundary. It had a post office run by Isabella Harrison and then by William Coulter. The school was a log building in 1868 and was destroyed by fire in 1870 but was quickly rebuilt. Classes continued in this school until 1964 when the pupils were transported to Carscadden’s school.
